Silas Emmery
Silas Emmery is a Danish visual artist whose practice spans photography, film, installation, publications and artistic explorations of artificial intelligence.
Working between artistic production and research, he explores how images are constructed, interpreted and given meaning. His projects engage with memory, history and perception through archival material, photographic processes and experimental methods.
Contemporary technologies and historical systems of knowledge meet throughout his practice. Artificial intelligence and alchemy offer different approaches to questions of image-making, transformation and interpretation, informing works that move between material objects, texts and digital environments.
Research and speculative inquiry connect these different forms, opening questions about how knowledge is produced, preserved and reimagined.
